Our Programs & Ministries
Our Ministries are the place you can find life-giving community.
Then Jesus declared “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
John 6:35
The Bread of Life Ministry seeks to extend the love of Christ to people in need by providing a home cooked meal once per month. If you would like to participate in this encouraging ministry, please contact the church office.
The men of Sisters Baptist Church meet to share a meal together provided by the serving team of the month. We share a time of devotion, presented on occasion by a guest speaker. We pray together and discuss how the group might become involved in projects within the Church or the community at large. All are welcome!
Our purpose is for students to experience a life-changing relationships with Jesus Christ. We desire for each student to worship God, love others, serve God, and invite others to join them in these endeavors as a regular part of their daily Christian life.

Children are an important part of Sisters Baptist Church. This gives our young children an opportunity to learn more about God’s word through age appropriate activities.
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 3:18

When a child enters a preschool environment it is a very important step in his/her life. Since 1966, the purpose of Sisters Weekday Preschool Ministry has been to provide a quality preschool program in a Christian environment. Our staff shall strive, with God's guidance, to make each child's experience meaningful and happy.
Every child is unique and precious. Our philosophy reflects a child development concept known as "Total Child." We feel that each child has five aspects of his being which we touch. It is our objective to encourage the growth and development of each child as we seek to promote the following areas:
Spiritual Development
- Develop an awareness of God and creation
- Develop the ability to talk to God through song and prayer
- Discover God's love and care for ME..."I Am Special!"
- Learn that Jesus is God's Son and that Jesus is my Friend
Mental Development
Emotional Development
- Develop self-esteem and personal adjustment skills
- Develop a sense of responsibility and a persistence in completing tasks
- Learning to express all feelings - even anger or sadness appropriately
Physical Development
- Develop hand and body coordination
- Develop large and small muscles
- Learn physical skills through fun
- Learn good health and safety habits
As a program designed to encourage the development of the total child we have study areas that include home and family, Bible, church, friends, self, nature, community life and holidays. In order to challenge each child in these areas we use the following learning centers: home living, books, puzzles and games, blocks, nature, art and music. Activities are designed to help each child learn to solve problems, to express himself, to improve language skills and to develop math and science concepts that will be valuable in later years.
We hope each child will discover ways that God has made him/her special. In order for us to be successful in helping your child develop in all areas, our staff and the child's family need to work together. It is important that good home-school relationships exist if children in our program are to have a rich and nourishing life in preschool and at home.
The mission of the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) is to inform and inspire Christians to influence their world for Christ.
Our watchword is Mark 8:34, "Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'"
Ongoing WMU projects at Sisters are:
- Playing bingo on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at Tennille Retirement Home
- Volunteering at the local Christian Life Center
- Collecting donations for Pure Water Pure Love that provides clean water to missionaries
- Collecting donations for special mission offerings: Annie Armstrong Offering for North American missions in March, State mission offering in September and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for foreign missions in December
The WMU of Sisters actively engages in additional mission projects as the need arises.
We meet at the church on the second Monday of each month at 10:00 AM. All ladies are welcome to attend our meetings and/or participate in our mission projects.
